START HERE: Why I Created This Space

For a long time, I stayed behind the curtain. I believed in humility, in letting my work speak for itself. I didn’t want to appear self-promoting, especially when others misunderstood my intentions. But over time, I’ve come to realize something powerful: I am multifaceted, and my story—my journey—has the potential to impact others. That’s why I created this space.

This blog is not about self-promotion. It’s about connection. I’ve discovered that I love connecting with people—it’s who I am. And through this journey, I’ve learned to love my confidence, to embrace the many layers of who I am. I am a leader because I make an impact. And now, it’s time to share that impact with others, just as so many have shared theirs with me.

There are countless people who have inspired me, and through this blog, I hope to introduce you to them. One of the first people I want to thank is Rian Reed. Rian is a master of branding and clarity, and she helped me get it together. Her purpose is bold and unwavering—she shines her light without hesitation. Watching her do that gave me permission to do the same.

As I step into this space, I want to leave you with three things that I hope will inspire you:

1. Take the Step
If there’s something you want to do and fear is holding you back—do it anyway. I have a friend and colleague, Dr. Jerrod Phillips, who runs a consulting business that helps leaders take that first step. His passion is helping people lead without fear. He taught me that fear is just a feeling—and feelings can be replaced. When you feel scared to put yourself out there, talk to yourself. Interrupt those thoughts. You have the power to shift your mindset.

2. Practice Self-Talk
This is a process, not a one-time fix. Speak life into yourself daily. Write down your positive thoughts. Neuroscience tells us that the more we say and think something, the more our brain believes it. So keep affirming yourself. Keep showing up for yourself.

3. Give Yourself Grace
Tomorrow is a new day. If there’s something you want to start—a course, a program, a health journey, a new habit—don’t worry if you don’t get to it today. Breathe. You are valuable. The world needs you. Your timing is your own, and your journey is still unfolding.

Welcome to my space. Let’s rise by lifting others.
